AdCare Hospital

I have been here several times while family members recieved care at this facility.. I have always held a high opinion over all the staff have always been friendly kind and always seem to go above and beyond and beyond! however about a month a go I was here to visit my cousin and was really concerned about what I was being told durring their saty on 2west. Firstly my biggest issue is complete lack of proper staffing available to meet the needs of the patients. Especially durring night shift where there was only 1 aid usually and apparently an entire day where there were not any at all and my cousin was left without assistance for a disgustingly long period of time.. absolutely not the type of attention or care you would expect . Other minor issues again being told from a patient is things like the floor running out of general supplies such as drinks and snack for patients and again the super long wait times when seeking help across the board .. I'm not sure why quality of care has gone down so poorly (my guess lack of proper staffing ) but I truly hope this doesn't remain an ongoing issue in the future.. but would not recommend as of current observations

I received an email about an hour after my job interview today from Brenda Grady who interviewed me saying they are not offering me the position after leading me on to believe I had the job. The email I received also states she has a person who she names by name who also applied and if her application can be pulled to schedule an interview. I was in a group email but the email was not addressed to me. I received it on accident and it was shocking to read the preferential treatment that was displayed to say the least. The man who scheduled my 2 interviews text me in the evening to tell me I didn’t get the job as if he didn’t know I received the email earlier in the day from Brenda Grady because he was included in the email. When you use the words I have person, that implies you already had the position filled and just wasted my time having me come in because according to her email she already had someone else who applied in mind.

Add Care staff is absolutely wonderful! However some changes have been made, that I feel are negative for the patients. We had a TV in the big I guess you'd call the TV room, / group room. However the TV is gone. So now patience have TVs in their rooms and they're isolating in their rooms and their beds watching their TVs. I've been here in the past and the TV in the group room created a community where we got to know each other and we got to laugh and get out of ourselves, no isolating, actually making friends, sometimes friends for life. It's very disappointing when we're coming from places of isolating and shutting down and cutting everyone out to come to a place to get better and having to do the same thing and do everything from our beds.
